Responsible Gaming

This page sets out practical guidance for gambling responsibly and states plainly what this site can and cannot do to help someone who wants to stop or slow down. It does not replace independent help, and it does not operate any control that acts on your behalf.

Decide the amount and the boundary before you start

Set a fixed amount before you begin, and treat it as already spent the moment you commit to it. Deciding in advance removes the pressure to make an in-the-moment judgement call once winning or losing is already affecting your thinking. Once that amount is gone, stop for the session rather than looking for ways to extend it. Keep gambling money separate from money set aside for bills, rent or anything else you cannot afford to lose, and never fund play with borrowed money, since a loss then becomes a debt owed to someone else rather than just a spent amount.

Recognise chasing losses and step away early

Chasing a loss means increasing a bet or continuing to play specifically to win back what has already gone. It usually leads to a larger loss rather than recovering the first one, because it replaces a planned decision with a reactive one. Taking a break — even a short one, away from the screen — interrupts that reaction and gives you a chance to check whether you are still playing for entertainment or purely to get money back. If a session stops feeling entertaining and starts feeling necessary, that is the point to involve someone else: a friend, a family member, or one of the independent organisations linked from this page. Raising it early is easier than raising it after a longer run of losses.

Know what this site does not do

This site has no account, no form and no server-side application, so it cannot switch on or enforce any control such as a deposit cap, a loss cap, a reality check, a cooling-off period or self-exclusion. Controls of that kind exist only inside an account at the destination you reach after following an operator link, and they are set up and managed there, not here. This site does not verify anyone's age and no gambling takes place on it: any age check happens at the destination. It also carries no advertising or behavioural profiling network, so nothing on these pages is targeted at a reader based on prior gambling activity.

Read the eighteen-and-over restriction wherever it appears

The eighteen-and-over restriction is stated on the front page of this site and repeated at the end of every operator listing. Each of the ten operator listings also ends with the same line: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, because eligibility rules and terms apply there and can change without notice. Everything a reader can actually do with money happens after leaving this site — each operator link redirects to a third party, and from that point the destination's own rules, checks and account controls apply, not anything published on this page.

Find independent help

Every page of this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations: gambleaware.nsw.gov.au, gamblinghelponline.org.au and responsiblegambling.vic.gov.au. These are the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial: unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when a reader follows any of them.
